The Anglican Way
The Anglican Way
Sundays, 6:15–7:45 p.m., Oct. 3–Dec. 5, in Sanders Hall
Beginning on October 3, Dean Barkley Thompson will offer an eight session course, "The Anglican Way". The Anglican Way classes are held on Sunday evenings from 6:15 pm to 7:45 p.m. The Anglican Way course is a lively venue through which newcomers to the Episcopal Church as well as long-time Episcopalians can learn about the things that make up our faith and tradition. Topics will include the ways we understand scripture, the history of the Church, The Book of Common Prayer and the Sacraments.
For adults interested in being baptized, confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, The Anglican Way course serves as preparation. The classes will culminate with a Bishop's visit to the Cathedral on December 12. At that time, the Bishop will confirm or receive those class participants who so wish.
Registration is not necessary but is helpful for planning. If you would like to attend please email Louise Langford at [email protected].
