Lay Chaplains
Lay Chaplains are members of the congregation that provide a listening presence for anyone who may be feeling lonely, or wants to hear at a deep level. They work with our clergy and pastoral care team as parishioners face the many challenges of life.
Lay Chaplains can be there for a one time check in (hospital stay or followup) or a long term commitment (resident at a nursing home) depending on the situation.
Lay Chaplains are lay members of the Cathedral who have been trained through the Community of Hope International (COHI) program, completed Safe Guarding, and have been approved of the Dean. They work with our members as they face the many challenges of life by providing a listening presence and connecting them with ministries which offer spiritual support.
