It’s summer time in Houston, and we’re getting ready for a robust 2021 program year. This summer, we’re running Cathedral Reads: The Logic of Love. Our other programming will be back in the fall! We’ll have our Fall Programming Guide and all of the information about our upcoming growth opportunities soon.
Cathedral Reads – Summer 2021
Join Cathedral friends this summer as we discuss James Carroll’s novel, The Cloister. For families with children, we’ll be reading Kate DiCamillo’s The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. We’ve also got a spell-binding adventure for youth in Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart. Additional information and registration links for Cathedral Reads events are available at: www.christchurchcathedral.org/cathedralreads
Dean's Hour – Sundays at 10 a.m. in Reynolds Hall
Our Dean’s Hour programming for the year kicks off on September 12th, 2021. The Dean’s Hour is a time for adult Christian formation; there are often special guests, and, of course, Dean Thompson’s intriguing lecture series. This year’s lecture series is about “thin spaces.” Stay tuned for a completed schedule in our Fall Programming Guide 2021.
Dean's Book Club - First Wednesday of the month, 6:30–8 p.m.
The Dean’s Book Club picks up again on Wednesday, September 1st. A different book is discussed each month. Everyone is welcome to attend and join the discussion, and encouraged to order books from the Cathedral Bookstore. Contact Dean Barkley Thompson at [email protected] to learn how to participate.
