Weddings

At Christ Church Cathedral, marriage services are in accordance with the Book of Common Prayer and the approved liturgies of the Episcopal Church. Marriage is a sacramental rite in the Episcopal Church, a regular worship service of the church and, as such, is an occasion for both great joy and dignity. The canon law of the Church states that Holy Matrimony is a union “entered into within the community of faith.” At Christ Church, the sacrament of Holy Matrimony is available to Cathedral members of any orientation or gender identity.

If you would like to have a wedding on the campus of Christ Church Cathedral, please fill out the wedding information form and email our wedding coordinator, Lisa Viktorin. She will return calls in one to two business days.

Read the Unity in Mission Task Force report, whose recommendation the vestry has endorsed, and "I Will Bless You, and You Will Be a Blessing," an edition of the “Witnessing and Blessing of a Lifelong Covenant” that conforms to the version approved for use by the 78th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in 2015.

Wedding Customary

It is hoped that the instructions included in the Wedding Customary document linked below will assist you in planning your wedding and also acquaint you with the customs, traditions, and restrictions of the Episcopal Church regarding the celebration of a marriage at Christ Church Cathedral. Please be aware that COVID conditions may require the Cathedral to amend the protocols included in this customary in order to abide by diocesan and public health guidelines. Stewardship and Giving: Support Cathedral Ministries

Generously responding to God’s gifts is a reflection of spirituality and recognition that we are the stewards of his bounty. It is a way of life — something we do day in and day out.

There are many ways to make financial gifts to support the ministries, pastoral care, education, vitality, and growth of Christ Church Cathedral. We are grateful to donors who graciously make one-time gifts, annual pledges, ongoing planned giving, and who find other ways to offer their help forwarding the work of our ministries.

Learn more about how you can get involved and support the Cathedral, or offer your time as a volunteer.
