Memorial Service for Queen Elizabeth II

On Thursday, September 22, at 6:30 p.m., Christ Church Cathedral, in collaboration with His Britannic Majesty’s Consulate General Houston & Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, will host a special commemoration service marking the death of Her late Britannic Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The service will be officiated by The Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, IX bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Music for the service will be led by the Christ Church Cathedral Choir. The service will be held in the Cathedral at 1117 Texas Avenue.

Free parking is available in the Christ Church Cathedral parking garage located at 512 San Jacinto Street. For those unable to attend the service in person, a livestream of the service will be available.

Additionally, the Cathedral’s Golding Chapel will be open for prayer and reflection in honor of Her Britannic Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Monday, September 12, through Thursday, September 22, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Those who wish to place a tribute in celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II are invited to do so in the adjacent columbarium.
