Jesus and the Disinherited

“Jesus and the Disinherited” – An Introduction to Howard Thurman’s Masterwork of Faith and Freedom:  During February, in observance of Black History Month, Dean Katz leads a month-long seriesexploring Howard Thurman’s seminal book Jesus and the Disinherited as a text that nourishes movements for justice and equality throughout the world.  A screening of the documentary “Backs Against the Wall” the Howard Thurman story will kick off the Sunday evening discussions on February 2nd, with dinner from 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., followed by the film and discussion.
