The Dean’s Hour – Baptism: Ground of Faith and Renewal

The sacrament of Holy Baptism is the starting point for our lives as faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Baptism orients us to all aspects of how we are to live – from our beliefs to our actions to our very identity as human beings. Through baptism we are empowered to be disciples of Christ. Ultimately, baptism provides us with an outlook and a way of being in the world that is centered on renewal. In this four part series, Dean Katz will reflect on Baptism and what it means for us as we embark on a season of renewal in ministry together at the Cathedral. Following an introduction, Dean Katz will look to Scripture, Tradition and Reason as three distinct sources from which to draw wisdom and inspiration for our lives as baptized Christians in our place and time.
