Pentecost Evensong

On Sunday, May 19, we invite you to special service of Choral Evensong to mark the Day of Pentecost. The Cathedral Choir will celebrate this church feast day with music by British composers. Featured works include the George Dyson Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D major, as well as Benjamin Britten’s Cantata, Rejoice in the Lamb, Op. 30.
An organ recital will precede Evensong at 4:15 p.m. James Mellichamp will perform works by Rachel Laurin, J.S. Bach, C.M. Widor, and others, including the Final from Widor’s Symphony No. 8. You are also encouraged to join us for a reception in Reynolds Hall following the service.
