Since 1839, we have been a witness to downtown Houston through worship, learning and loving service. Las Posadas are a treasured tradition and an integral part of our Advent celebrations here at the Cathedral. Members from all congregations gather in people’s homes across Houston to commemorate the journey of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. Posadas services will be each held night, December 16 – 23, at various locations.
