Dean’s Hour Matinee – How Do You Solve a Problem Like Corinth?
February 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
How Do You Solve a Problem Like Corinth? St. Paul and the Corinthians with Dean Thompson
January 31, February 7, and February 14
Of all the Christians with whom St. Paul interacted, none were more problematic than the Corinthians. No sooner had Paul founded the Church in Corinth and moved on to Ephesus than had the Corinthians begun fighting among themselves and jockeying for position. As a result, Paul wrote them a series of letters that alternate between pastoral advice, chastisement, and threats. How do you solve a problem like Corinth? Dean Thompson will pose this question as he leads us through Paul’s conflicted relationship with his “problem children.”
On the afternoons of January 31, February 7, and February 14, join the Dean for a viewing and discussion of his series on 1 Corinthians. Each Sunday will cover one of three Dean’s Hour sessions. At 2 p.m., join us live on Facebook to view the Dean’s Hour lecture or watch in advance above. Then at 2:40 p.m., join the Dean on Zoom for thoughtful discussion. Register in advance to attend the discussion via Zoom.
