Back to School Sunday

Every year we take time, at the beginning of the school year, we take a few moments in the three principle services (9, 11, & 1) to pray over the students, staff and administrators who are returning to school.

Each year as children, teachers and administrators prepare to head back to school (and especially this year as many are returning to in-person) we as a church family bring them to the front of the church to surround them with prayer and encouragement. Our scripture focus this year will be Isaiah 61:3 “They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” We will pray for them as they reach their roots deep, reach their branches out toward others and point their trunk tall and straight heavenward.
