Rally Day 2021
Hello Cathedral Friends!
This Sunday, August the 29th-the Cathedral celebrates Rally Day. Unlike Rally Days of the past, this year’s Rally Day is less a ministry fair and more like a pep rally celebration – because in this moment, we need to cheer each other on!
What a journey it has been, and what a journey it continues to be. This Rally Day we gather in hopes of putting wind in our sails for what lies ahead.
Remembering who and whose we are…
Celebrating how honorably and loving we’ve weathered this trip so far…
And looking forward together, trusting that the grace that has brought us safe thus far, will surely lead us home.
We recognize that you may have questions or concerns about coming to Rally Day in light of the Delta variant – and we want you to make the very best choice for yourself. And so as you are making your decision about attending, here is what you can expect at the event:
At 10 a.m. we will gather in the Bishop’s Courtyard for an all–parish photo. We will be outdoors and we will keep our masks on for the photo – capturing for posterity this moment in history. Don’t be late. We will assemble at 10 a.m. sharp, and you do not want to miss it.
After the photo, you are invited to the fun and fellowship that will take place in Reynolds Hall. We will wear our masks indoors for this gathering, just to be on the safe side. However, we do expect a good sized crowd.
If you don’t feel comfortable participating in Reynolds Hall, it is okay to just come for the parish photo, and then head home or hang out in the Bishop's Courtyard. We want to encourage everyone to participate in a way that makes them comfortable. For those participating from home, you should be able to watch the activities in Reynolds Hall via live-stream on the website at www.christchurchcathedral.org/rallyday.
What-A-Journey, y’all! What...A...Journey I’m just so glad that we are on this journey together.
The Reverend Canon Kathy Rock Pfister, Vicar
