A new exhibition of Olga Porter paintings is open for viewing in the Cathedral Cloister Gallery inside Treebeards. She is a local artist who came to Texas from the USSR in 1989.

Porter works as a Russian interpreter for NASA and paints at her studio at Winter Street. Her work is included in many private collections and is permanently featured at the Susan & Fayez Sarofim Pavilion of Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Proceeds from sales of her work will go to benefit Ukrainian children through UNICEF Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. 7.1 million people are internally displaced, including up to 2.8 million children. Hospitals, water facilities, schools, and homes have been destroyed. Over 4.5 million refugees, 90% women and children, have fled to neighboring countries seeking protection and requiring critical assistance.
