Las Posadas December 16 – 23
Las Posadas are a treasured tradition an integral part of our Advent celebrations here at the Cathedral. Members from all congregations gather in people’s homes across Houston to commemorate the journey of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. Join us at the Cathedral on Sunday, December 17, for the special Gran Posada and Sancocho Supper. We’ll break bread together and enjoy sancocho, a traditional Dominican soup, and after the meal we will journey together as the Cathedral grounds becomes our home for the Las Posadas walk. Mendeliz will provide the music, and we’ll have seasonal treats for all ages. Cost: $5 per person/$10 per family.. 6 p.m. in Reynolds Hall. This is an event for the whole Cathedral family. All are welcome!
