FOCUS — Take a Closer Look — a Virtual Vacation Bible School for Parishes

Parishes, we are so excited to share with you Focus – Take a Closer Look, a Virtual Vacation Bible School happening July 27-30, 2020. Check out our teaser video above. Here are the details and a FAQ:

How do I register my parish? Fill out this form.

Will Christ Church Cathedral, St. John the Divine, St. Martin’s (the three parishes that collaborated to make Focus — Take a Closer Look), or the Diocese of Texas have access to my parish families and their contact information? No. All your parish family registration and information stays within your parish.

How much does it cost? It’s free! We will offer the livestream experience, a family or small group outline, crafts, and game ideas for free. Parishes may decide whether to charge for supplies and so on.

What kind of curriculum guides Focus — Take a Closer LookWe are excited to help kids dive deeper into their faith by putting the FOCUS on God and his amazing plan for us.

Your preschoolers through preteens will have a blast as they discover how to trust in what they CAN’T see because of what they CAN see.

Our virtual and family/small group experiences are designed to teach kids to explore four different ways we can FOCUS on God. Each day, we will introduce a Bible story from the book of Matthew and Big Idea that reinforces the following actions in our faith journeys: HEAR – TALK – PRAY – LIVE.

What are the main messages for kids in Focus — Take a Closer Look? Kids learn that faith is trusting in what you *can’t* see because of what you *can* see. Together, we are going to FOCUS and look closer at God, God’s truth, and the people God calls us to love.

Our guiding verse for the week is: “Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And He is the one who completes the journey of faith.” — Hebrews 12:2a, NIrV
