Christmas Camp Dec. 17
What is Christmas Camp?
Every year, we gather the kiddos to practice the Christmas Pageant, try on costumes, eat snacks, participate in an outreach project for The Beacon and have an indoor snowball fight. And it is EPIC every year. All are welcome Saturday, December 17 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Please meet in the Cathedral first for practice. After practice we will move to Jones 2nd floor for all the extra fun!
How to Participate
Our pageant (which is held Christmas Eve at the 4 p.m. service) is a no fuss, pageant. Adults do the readings – there are zero kid speaking parts. All the children have to do is stand there and be cute.
If your child would like to participate, the practice isn't required, just suggested. If your child shows up on Christmas Eve and wants to participate, there is always need for more shepherds, animals, and angels. There are costumes for them and they are welcome to meet us in Reynolds Hall on Christmas Eve at 3:30 p.m. or they are welcome to don angel wings or an animal costume and participate from the pew. We want every child to know they are part of the GREATEST story ever told. A story that God is continuing to tell in each of us. So we, the Children's Ministry Council, want to support your kid at whatever their level of participation is. Truly, God is with us, Emmanuel, wherever we are.
