Cathedral Reads Wrap-Up: Sunday August 18, 10 a.m.
As we close the book on this summer’s Cathedral Reads program, we invite you to join us in Reynolds Hall to share our experiences with the book. Our guide as we review The Book Thief will be Kemberly Kemp, English teacher and writer from St. John’s School. She will lead us in a discussion of numinous moments in the novel, and we’ll explore what we came to understand about the author’s use of color and symbol, history and narrative to spin a story of hope set against one of the darkest chapters in human history.
Whether you’ve read the book, started the book, or spent the summer poring over the book, you’re invited to participate in this celebration of books, community and love, enhanced by a little special coffee and thematic treats. Join us Sunday, August 18 at 10 a.m. in person or online for this wonderful event!
