In our second lecture with scholar Emma Ridder, we will take a deep dive into the main themes of the novel appreciating how Woolf’s fiction responds to the changes and challenges of modern life and uses lyrical prose to represent time, consciousness, and our lived experience of the world while exploring the spirituality of attending to the moment.

As Lily Briscoe raises her brush to paint, she questions where or even how she should begin. We will be painting an original painting inspired by To the Lighthouse and we will discuss the religiosity of creativity, and how it intersects with your own faith life. Led by Canon Zartman.
