Ascension Day Eucharist – Thursday, May 9
Ascension Day is a Principle Feast in the church year, the day which marks Jesus’ ascension into heaven and a new beginning for Jesus’ followers. The feast of the Ascension happens every year on a Thursday, forty days after the celebration of the resurrection at Easter, and ten days before Pentecost. We will gather together on this day to transition from a time of resurrection joy to the expectant waiting for the Holy Spirit, whose coming we will celebrate on Pentecost Sunday (May 19).
This year Ascension Day is May 9th, and we will have a Eucharist with music in Golding Chapel at 12:05.
