Advent Lessons and Carols – Sunday, December 8
The Cathedral Choir ushers in Advent with its annual service of Advent Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 8, 2024 beginning at 5 p.m. Following a pattern established over 100 years ago at Kings College, Cambridge, the service will offer Advent readings followed by carols of the season. This is one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year and a perfect way to introduce your friends and family to the Cathedral. Start your Advent with this beautiful service and then join us for a special reception afterwards in Reynolds Hall. A brief service of Holy Eucharist will take place at the high altar at the conclusion of the Voluntary for those who wish to receive Communion before departing to the reception.
