We welcome you!
At the Cathedral, we believe that God is in the midst of the city (Psalm 46:5), and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaims God’s alternative vision for the world. This means that the Cathedral is open and affirming for people of all races, ages, socio-economic statuses, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Whoever you are, and whatever your story, you are welcome to know God and one another here.
What to Expect
Often named one of Houston’s most beautiful worship spaces, and with a world-class music program in the Anglican choral tradition, worship at Christ Church Cathedral can be a transcendent experience.
Each service on Sunday has a different expression of worship, although great joy and care are taken in each. We worship using The Book of Common Prayer 1979 with contemporary language at 9:00am, traditional language at 11:00am, Spanish at 1:00pm, and a Celtic-inspired worship service at 5:00pm. You can check out our 11, 1 and 5 online.

Looking for a spiritual home?
After you find a place to park in the Cathedral Garage, exit the garage and cross the street. There will be an officer helping to stop traffic and ensure your safety.
Enter into the cloister area through the hallway and be greeted by our volunteers, who can direct you to the next service where you will be guided into the sanctuary by our ushers. Enjoy some contemplative time before the service starts.
Wondering what to wear? On Sunday mornings, the Cathedral tends to be a dressier place, and most (but not all) worshippers dress in their Sunday best. The Well, our 5:00 service, is a come-as-you-are service, and most worshippers are dressed casually.
As the first church in Houston, the people and architecture of Christ Church Cathedral has been a part of the city of Houston from the very beginning.
