Peggy Beltrami grew up in St. Louis, Mo., and moved to Houston in 1981. She has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Phoenix. She has more than 15 years of accounting experience, having worked in a variety of industries before coming to work for the Cathedral in May 2013. This is her first position in a nonprofit organization. Peggy is the proud mother of one child, her son Tyler.

Yency Bermudez was born in San Miguel, El Salvador, immigrating to the U.S. and moving to Houston in 1996. She and her husband, Francisco, have two daughters, Ángeles and Francy. She considers them to be a great blessing in her life. Yency is proud to have recently completed her high school diploma, and she wishes to continue her education and become a nurse. She is also studying English and is working toward full fluency.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Mark moved to Houston in 2008. He received a Bachelor of Science in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2005. Since graduating, he has worked as a designer serving regional and national clients. The proud father of one, he lives with his wife and son in southwest Houston. Mark also collects books and hosts a local book club.

Debra Cross was born in Port Arthur and raised in Houston. She holds a human resources certification from Rice University. Prior to joining the Cathedral staff, she worked at HISD for 10 years in various departments as a senior secretary. She has one child, Zachary, who is a student at the University of Houston. She loves to travel, to attend outdoor concerts and sporting events, and to spend time with her family.

Marilyn has spent the last 15 years working in the Episcopal Church, first at Trinity, Houston, and then at St. Mark’s, Houston. She has been a member of the Cathedral Choir since 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Marilyn and her husband, Richard, have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Before joining the Cathedral staff as a sexton in 2009, Frank gained experience in both facilities maintenance and customer service as a house flipper and as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines. Frank is a musician, playing world and fusion jazz, and working for an airline was also a way for him to see the world and fuse culture and music together. He began playing guitar at the age of six and fell in love with the sounds of classical guitar and jazz. His Latin roots, coupled with his love for world music, have been instrumental in his journey to experience and explore different guitars and sounds. He performs at numerous venues, frequently showcasing his talent in various cities.

Nelda Horton joined the Cathedral staff in 1999 having much experience and expertise in church work. She moved up to become the Dean’s Assistant on March 1, 2000. She is a native Tennessean and attended schools there. After moving to Little Rock, Arkansas in the early seventies, she did volunteer work at her church and served as Special Events Coordinator before joining the staff as Executive Secretary. Upon relocating to Houston in 1988, she served as church secretary at her church for one and half years. Nelda has two grown children, Rhonda and Kevin, and three granddaughters and a grandson.

Martha is the former children’s minister of Trinity Episcopal Church, The Woodlands, Texas, where she began Trinity’s special needs ministry program. She has a masters in theology and a masters in expressive-arts therapy and counseling, which she continues to practice on a local and national level. Her passion for special needs awareness is practiced as she currently serves as a director on the board for Special Life Network, an organization based in the Woodlands that facilitates the integration of individuals with disabilities into the broader community. She also represents the Cathedral serving as a director on the national Rhythms of Grace board, and is a member of Forma (a national association of Episcopal Christian educator professionals). She has two grown children and five grandchildren.

Born and raised in Houston, Christy Orman joined the Cathedral in 2015. Her Episcopal roots go back five generations and she has spent a majority of her life involved in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. She attended Sam Houston State University and received a degree in early childhood education. Currently, Christy is on the YES Steering Committee and is an advocate for our diocesan youth presence. She is active in the Daughters of the King and Education for Ministry. When she is not participating in diocesan events, Christy enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and pup, Sini, exploring local coffee shops.

Ramona I. Sikes comes to Christ Church Cathedral as a Senior Accountant from First Methodist Houston. Born in Key West Florida, Ramona grew up a “Navy brat.” She graduated both high school and college with highest honors. While at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Alabama, she obtained a distinction as the “most outstanding student in the Fine Arts Department.” Our multi-talented new hire has found her life mission to serve Christ both personally and professionally. She has recorded two CDs, Only By Grace and Faithful Friend. She currently resides in Crosby with her husband Tony. When she isn’t caring for stray animals, she finds herself spending time with friends and family.

Kimberly Williams joined the Cathedral in 2015 with much experience caring for individuals in vulnerable situations. She is passionate and feels called to serve populations that are often overlooked and underserved, including human-trafficking survivors. She is an active community volunteer, particularly with organizations that serve at-risk populations. A past member of the Junior League of Charlotte and Women of Vision Charlotte, Kimberly brings a wealth of resources and knowledge to her role as pastoral care coordinator. Kimberly is married to Craig Williams and they have three children.
