The Seder is a ritual meal that recounts and celebrates the Exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt and their journey to freedom. This Haggadah, or liturgy, is a feminist text, focusing on the women of the Exodus and notable contemporary Jewish women.
Guests will be seated at tables of ten, each led by a Jewish woman. Together with the symbolic foods of Passover, a full meal will be catered by Claire Smith, owner of Shade and Canopy.
Tickets are $35, and tables of 10 are $320 (for 9 guests with 1 Jewish table leader). This is a women-only event, and registration is limited to the first 120 tickets sold.
