Social Justice

At the Cathedral we see it as our sacred duty
to convey the radical love of God to a world that so desperately needs it. This happens through the work of Cathedral Health and Outreach Ministries, which oversees ministries that meet people’s immediate needs today and equips them for healthy, hopeful lives in the future.

It occurs each Christmas when volunteers gather to provide backpacks filled with necessities for hundreds of adults and children in need. It happens in hurricane-ravaged Mississippi, or the villages of far away Honduras.

It happens in the way we use our resources, because we know that justice requires careful environmental stewardship.

In hundreds of different ways all year long the people of the Cathedral work to build God’s Kingdom by seeking and serving Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves.
