Cathedral Reads 2020

05.12.20 | Community Life

    What Does Brave Look Like?

Owen, Auggie, and Faith in the Face of Fear

Cathedral Reads is about to start soon with a pair of bestselling books, a summer full of discussions, and three big events at the end.

Adults will read John Irving's novel, A Prayer for Owen Meany, and children and youth will read R.J. Palacio's Wonder. Both are bestselling novels that open questions about identity, courage, kindness, and much more.

    Here's how to get involved:

    1. Order your books from the Cathedral Bookstore and start reading!

Order A Prayer for Owen Meany

    Order Wonder

The Cathedral Bookstore can either ship your book ($4 fee, three about three days to process/mail), or you can pick it up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To pick up, check “free shipping” at check out, and note in the "note to vendor" if you would like to pick it up or have it delivered.

    2. Sign up for book discussion groups

All through the summer, check in with Cathedral friends and discuss the books. There are many options to choose from, and you are welcome to choose them all. Download the discussion group and reading schedule for A Prayer for Owen Meany here.
