2020 Costa Rica Mission Trip
This summer, our Costa Rica Mission Trip will be from June 7-14, missioning in the city of Siquirres. This mission is for the current confirmation class, high schoolers, and adults.
The Cathedral mission team will continue to support Bishop Orlando's vision of strengthening the churches on the Caribbean coast by initiating the renovation of an old seminary in Siquirres to create a new diocesan center, making this the 3rd diocesan center in Costa Rica. This new center would draw more missioners to the area and help reduce costs for missioners in the future. There will also be ample opportunity to interact with Costa Ricans of all ages, forming relationships and sharing in our common humanity. Tall or short, big or small, young or old, everyone has a chance to serve on this mission trip. The deadline to apply is February 26. Click here for the application.
Minister for Youth Marcia Quintanilla has the schedule for the week, which includes great meals, morning and early afternoon work, communal games with Costa Ricans, VBS volunteering, tours, and a day of pure fun in beautiful Costa Rica.
The cost of the mission trip is $2,000 per person, which includes airfare, lodging, and meals in country. Scholarships are also available.
Prayerfully consider attending this trip. It is a unique opportunity to see a beautiful country while assisting those in need. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Minister for Youth Marcia Quintanilla at
