Starting this week, the Cathedral organ is being dismantled so that a crack in the west wall can be properly repaired. 

Says Organist Daryl Robinson, "A crew arrived from Nichols & Simpson Organbuilders to begin removing 2,500+ pipes (of close to 6,000) from the Cathedral organ to prepare the instrument for building renovations this summer. New steel rods for structural support of the building (needing to run through the organ chamber, naturally), and lots of dust and contractors, made this a required project."
