Cathedral House School
Each weekday, over 100 children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 6 years old call Cathedral House Episcopal School home. This Montessori-style school offers the highest level of early childhood formation, with an emphasis on helping children develop their mind and spirit. The school is operated by Metropolitan Montessori Schools, an early-childhood educational organization that also operates the Rice Children’s Campus, an educational center for children of Rice University employees.
CHES, as Cathedral House School is affectionately termed, nurtures children by encouraging their appreciation of the amazing diversity and beauty of God’s world, introducing them to reading, mathematics and science and the joys and richness of play. There is also a weekly chapel service where children sing, pray and hear stories that teach them of God’s amazing love.
